SP626 Clinical Audiology Internship   (1-2.00 cr.)

Audiometric screening, screening tympanometry, screening otoscopy, as well as diagnostic and aural rehabilitation procedures including air and bone conduction assessments, speech audiology, immittance testing, and audiogram interpretation. Students also may be involved in auditory processing assessments and interpretation, including ramifications and interdisciplinary interactions. Students gain exposure to amplification and aural rehabilitation devices and techniques in both the on- and off-site locations. Clinical practice takes place under the supervision of department faculty in the Loyola Clinical Centers and at off-site screening and aural habilitation locations. Admission by application to the Graduate Clinical Placement Committee. May be repeated for credit. (Pass/Fail)
